Concerts featuring digital music and artists that have caused furore with their innovative sounds will be opening up a new dimension of music for you, the audience, to experience.   New Year’s concert

10 years’ World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte – 5 years’ „9 Symphony“ from Beethoven as part of humanity’s World Cultural Heritage. On the occasion of these two „birthdays“, the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, conducted by Prof. Leo Krämer, will be performing Beethoven’s hymn to humanity.

The musician Jo Zimmermann, known under the „nom d’artiste” of „Schlammpeitziger“ brings his mixture of refreshing sound and beat experiments to the Gebläsehalle (blast shop).

Visitors to these three concerts also have the opportunity of viewing the „GameArt“ exhibition in the Gebläsehalle prior to the concerts commencing. After each of the concerts, at around 22.30, a well-known DJ will be inviting guests to a digital chill-out in Café Umwalzer.
